The fastest route
- Drop the PDF on the box above (or tap it on a phone).
- Pick Signature. Type your name and choose the handwriting-style result, or draw with a finger, mouse or trackpad.
- Drag it to the line and resize it if needed. Click Date to stamp today's date.
- Click Finalize & export. The signed PDF downloads straight away.
Faster the second time
Your last signature and signer name are remembered in this browser, so next time you can place your signature without drawing it again. If you sign the same kind of form often, Pro templates remember where every field goes, so you can reapply them to the next copy in one click.
Why it's quick
Nothing is uploaded or downloaded from a server while you work, so you aren't waiting on a connection. Pages are rendered by your own device and the signed file is written locally, which is usually near-instant for everyday documents.
Before you send it
Typed or drawn?
A typed signature is the quickest: type your name, and it is rendered in a handwriting-style font. A drawn signature takes a few more seconds but looks like your usual one. Uploading a photo or scan of your signature also works; a dark signature on plain white paper gives the cleanest result. Whichever you pick, the signed PDF records the same certificate details.
Take a second to scroll through the result. The signed file ends with a completion certificate page that records the signing time and SHA-256 hashes, and the recipient can check it hasn't been altered using the free verifier.
