Signing an NDA in four steps
- Drop the NDA PDF into the box above. It opens in this tab.
- Add your signature (draw, type or upload), then drag it onto the signature line. Add the date and, if the form asks for it, your printed name and title as text fields.
- If the NDA asks for initials on every page, place your initials once and, with Pro, copy them to all pages in one click.
- Finalize and download. Email the signed PDF back to the other party.
Mutual NDAs
For a mutual NDA, each side signs in turn: you sign and send it, and the other party opens the signed file in OpenSigner (or any PDF tool) and adds their signature. If both people are in the same room, the Pro two-signer preset places a signature, name and date block for each signer and lists both on the completion certificate.
Proving what was signed
Each signed file gets a completion certificate page with the original document's SHA-256 hash, the signing time in local time and UTC, and a QR link to the verifier. If anyone later edits the file, verification fails, which helps if there is ever a dispute about which version was agreed.
Is an e-signed NDA valid?
In many countries, ordinary commercial contracts such as NDAs can be signed electronically, but rules differ and some contracts have special requirements. Our guide to e-signature laws links to the official legislation; check with a lawyer if the stakes are high. OpenSigner does not verify identity, so if the other party needs proof of who signed, agree on that up front.
